I am currently a masters student in Sean Rogers and Jana Vamosi's labs at the University of Calgary. My graduate and undergraduate research has focused on various aspects of molecular ecology and evolution of plants, but I've worked on a variety of organisms including diatoms, fish, nematodes and mammals. My main research focuses on the population genomics of the hybrid polyploid plants Anemone multifida and Stellaria longipes, geographically and morphologically variable herbaceous plants found in alpine and prairie habitats across North America. I have also worked on a project to develop microsatellite markers from next generation sequencing data for the coastal plant Plectritis congesta, a herb native to coastal BC that displays variation in pollinator usage and mating system on different Gulf Islands. Various other projects I have been involved with are detailed in my research.
